1 . Connecting your camera to your television
Your digital camera can play back still images, video and video with sound (depending on the model) on any television through a single cable that is included with your initial purchase. A quick glance at your user manual will enable you to determine your camera's features, to locate its output port (which may be called Video Out, AV Out, or simply AV) and to establish the appearance of your output cable (See Image 1).
Depending on your camera's features, your output cable will have a single connector at one end that plugs into your camera and up to three RCA connectors at the other end that plug into your television (See Images 2 & 3). These RCA connectors are:
· Yellow – Video Out
· Black – Sound Out (Mono)
· White – Sound Out (Left)
· Red – Sound Out (Right)
If your cable has only a yellow connector, your camera can only play back images and video (depending on the model) without sound. A cable with one yellow and one black connector lets you play back images and video with mono sound. A cable with yellow, white and red connectors lets you play back still images and video with stereo sound.
To connect your camera to your television, connect the appropriate end of the cable into your camera's output port and the RCA plug(s) to your television as follows :
Image/Video Only
· To any television
o Yellow plug to the Video In jack (Yellow)
Image/Video with Mono Sound
· To a mono television
o Yellow plug to the Video In jack (Yellow)
o Black plug to the Audio In jack (White)
· To a stereo television
o Yellow plug to the Video In jack (Yellow)
o Black plug to the Audio In Left jack (White), which is also the mono port
Video with Stereo Sound
· To a mono television
o Yellow plug to the Video In jack (Yellow)
o White Plug (Audio Left) to the Audio In jack (White)
· To a stereo television
o Yellow plug to the Video In jack (Yellow)
o White plug to the Audio In Left jack (White)
o Red plug to the Audio In Right jack (Red)
2. Viewing your pictures

Some cameras feature a dock that connects to a variety of devices. If you have such a camera, consult your manual to determine how to set up and connect your dock for use with a television.
